As the Vice President of Enterprise Customer Management, Shawn Budde isresponsible for creating a strong and enduring customer culture withinthe organization and for building the infrastructure to support aconsistent customer experience across Capital One. Headquartered inMcLean, Virginia, Capital One Financial Corporation is a leader in thedirect marketing of credit cards and other financial services and isone of the largest providers of MasterCard and Visa credit cards in theworld.
Over the past few years, Mr. Budde’s diverse responsibilities haveincluded leadership of several of Capital One’s business units. Thosehave included the Customer Acquisition Center, which supports thesolicitation and booking of new accounts across the company; theProduct Innovation Center, which provides operational support forproduct development; and the Customer Management Center, which executesmarketing programs to existing customers, identifies products forCross-Selling and serves as an interface between operations and theU.S. Card lines of business. Mr. Budde joined Capital One in 1999 andspent his first four years with the company working in the UnderservedMarkets business – first as the head of account management and later asthe head of the business.
Mr. Budde’s managerial experience and industry expertise comes fromnearly 20 years in the consumer finance industry with a variety oflenders including a finance company, a super-regional bank and as anindependent consultant. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Budde servedas the Vice-President of Platinum Card Acquisitions for Citicorp’s U.S.credit card business.
Mr. Budde earned a B.A. from Columbia University in New York City andan M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
